Corinthian is part of the JELD-WEN family, the world's largest supplier of timber doors and windows. We currently have an exciting job opening for a Purchasing Clerk to work with the wider purchasing team. You would be Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and have responsibility for the following:

  • Action daily/weekly/monthly MRP system driven purchasing requirements
  • Ownership of the purchasing system, parameters and reports to ensure they can be relied upon
  • Maintain control of receipting, counting and issuing of materials
  • Supporting the on time delivery of orders from suppliers and working closely with the inwards team to maintain an accurate inventory of materials and stock
  • Liaise with all suppliers
  • Conduct stocktake counts and reconciliations
  • Reviewing and updating business processes to support the continuous improvement strategies and effectiveness of the inventory and purchasing processes
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels
  • Support the wider purchasing team where necessary

 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Hands on experience working within a purchasing team in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise and plan your workload
  • Experience maintaining large warehouse stock/supply levels
  • Systematic, methodical and process driven
  • An understanding of AP processes and the capability to investigate discrepancies, resolve any issues and work with finance teams to ensure correct payment to suppliers
  • MS office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
