IT Service Desk Officer

The Opportunity 

 

JELD-WEN Information Services division is looking for someone who thrives on challenges, has a passion for IT and drives the implementation of technologies across the APAC region.  Reporting to the Service Desk Team leader we’re after someone with exceptional customer service skills, excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills as well as a team player.

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide a high level of customer support via phone and email to end-users
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation and fulfilment of cases in accordance with established and agreed service level agreement
  • Being proactive, responsive and competent to all customers
  • Incidents and Service Requests are completed effectively; ensuring information is captured in the ITSM System for future reference and analysis
  • Troubleshoot various hardware, software, applications, networks and communication technologies
  • Seen as a key contributor to the success of the Service Desk team
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service
  • Develop rapport with end-users
  • After-hours support required (on-call roster) as well as some public holiday work

 

About You

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced helpdesk/Desktop support role
  • Demonstrated skillset across MS Office 365, networks and systems administration
  • Knowledge or awareness with Active Directory
  • ITIL Certification or relevant experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience in customer service in either a face to face or call centre environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong troubleshooting skills
