This is a great opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to join our professional, down to earth and friendly team. As a Process Engineer, you will implement and upgrade process and quality control systems/processes and lead the safe quality control of all product that is manufactured by Corinthian Doors. Coach and mentor all personnel in process control, quality control and waste reduction across the Corinthian business, including suppliers, manufacturing personnel and sales personnel.
This position will have responsibility for the following:
A key member of the supervisory group driving the Safety Culture across the business
A key member of the supervisory group driving and leading continuous improvement methodology in line with JELD-WEN standards and compliance.
Lead and own process control systems across the Corinthian business
Lead and own quality control systems and processes across the Corinthian business
Lead specific projects and continually improve the engineering upgrade of process, plant and equipment
Continually drive down costs through leading and owning the waste reduction processes and systems across the Corinthian business
Coach and mentor supervisors, sales staff, customers and suppliers in quality and process control systems and procedures
Coach and mentor supervisors in Lean methodologies through, at times, leading and coaching continuous improvement projects in conjunction with supervisory staff
Work with the broader Corinthian team to minimise complexity of the manufacturing operation from raw material to finished goods. Simplify the construction of products.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Quality control related discipline
Good understanding of Safety, LEAN & CI methodology and experience in implementing their concepts across large workforces
Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate, coach and mentor indirect staff to consistently meet and exceed expectations whilst providing a fun and safe environment.
Knowledge in process and quality control systems including ISO 9001
Experienced change management agent
Solid leadership, mentoring and coaching skills
Strategic mindset with the capability of ‘getting hands dirty’
Ability to work autonomously and constantly exceed expectation
