This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Operator to join our team. As Australia's largest timber door manufacturer, Corinthian Doors has taken its famous brand around the world, securing an international reputation for quality, innovation and design. Corinthian is now part of the JELD-WEN family, the world's largest supplier of timber doors and windows.
Due to continuous growth, we have a requirement for a Production Operator(s) at our St Marys site for both day and afternoon shifts. You will be responsible for maximising output in accordance with quality standards to meet customer requirements, while maintaining a safe and supportive workplace.
This position will have responsibility for the following:
Safe Work Practices: take accountability for your own and others safety. Maintain a safe, supportive and hazard free work environment whilst working in a safe manner at all times in accordance with Company WHS procedures and practices.
Production: to work as part of a team to carry out production of quality products in accordance with Company standard operating procedures and in a timely manner to ensure production meets our customer requirements.
Quality: monitor raw material/finished product quality and advise/correct as necessary.
Housekeeping: to maintain good housekeeping practices so that all work environments are maintained to 5S standard.
Continuous Improvement: actively contribute to continuous improvement on site.
General Duties: actively contribute to broader team goals and responsibilities through multi-skilling and carrying out any other duties that may be required from time to time.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
Manual Handling Capacity: strength and physical capability. Ability to carry out manual handling aspects of role safely.
Basic Skills Assessment: demonstrate basic numeracy and ability to perform simple measurement relevant to technical and measurement aspects of the role.
Solid Work Ethic: takes pride in work completed and presentation of work areas and accountability for completing assigned work within accepted timelines. Strong attendance record is vital.
Follow Procedures: demonstrated ability to comply with Company standard operating procedures, producing work to standard and ability to work unsupervised.
Flexible and adaptable: willingness to be flexible with scope of duties and hours of operation through multi-skilling, embracing work changes that drive continuous improvement, support coverage of absences and occasional additional hours to meet peak workloads.
Seeks to improve: open to change and embracing continuous improvement practices.
